NOV 21- POSTER DESIGN PROJECT

Vintage-Style Poster Design Project   Click here for examples  Create a vintage-inspired Movie, Music, Travel, Propaganda, or Advertisement poster using watercolour, paint markers, or pencil crayon or a combination.  Your design must show intentional use of colour theory to set mood, attract attention, and strengthen the message of the poster. Design includes visual elements common to the era/type (fonts, layout, illustration style). Concept is clear, creative, and fits the chosen theme. TO START - ROUGH DRAFT: Students must submit: A rough sketch showing layout, main imagery, and text placement. A colour palette plan, including: Notes showing where colour theory will be applied (ex: “analogous palette for harmony,” “complementary contrast for focal point”).

NOV 10- Symbolic Portfolio

  CRITERIA - Symbolic Imagery Portfolio  It must include:  Your name in big clear letters in whatever style you choose   Incorporate at least 4 symbols that say something about you   Incorporate personal elements: such as text (quotes, lyrics), rendering of photographs, things you are interested in, or other memorabilia that hold special meaning to you. Brainstorming: Reflect on Your Identity: Start by considering aspects of your identity, such as your personality traits, interests, values, and experiences. Think about what defines you as an individual. Choose Symbols: Identify symbols that represent different facets of your identity. These symbols could be objects, animals, colors, or concepts that hold personal significance to you. Think About:  Layout and Composition: Plan the layout of your portfolio. Decide how you want to position the symbols, colors, and other elements. Consider the visual balance and flow of the composition.
