Course Description
Media Arts 10 introduces students to creative expression through digital media, combining art, technology, and critical thinking. Students explore how media artworks are created, shared, and interpreted, while developing technical skills and personal voice.

Big Ideas (BC Curriculum)

    • An artist’s intention transforms media technologies into art

    • Traditions, perspectives, worldviews, and stories can be shared through media arts

    • Growth as an artist requires time, patience, and reflection

    • The creation of media art relies on the interplay of the mind and body

    • Media arts offer unique ways of exploring our identity and sense of belonging

Students will:

  • Explore and experiment with media arts tools, techniques, and processes

  • Create media artworks using intentional design choices

  • Reflect on and refine work through feedback and self-assessment

  • Analyze media artworks in relation to context, purpose, and audience

  • Demonstrate responsible and ethical use of media and technology
